The Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide comes in a quart-sized container and is a non-selective herbicide that defoliates anything it is sprayed on. It works best on young woody volunteers and weeds, and not so much on established volunteers. A mixture of 1/2 oz Diquat, 1-1/2 oz glyphosate, and 1 oz nonionic wetting agent per gallon of water works well. The herbicide is not safe for use near water and should not be mixed with Roundup. The concentration of Diquat required is about 15cc per gallon of water. The herbicide shows results in about 24-36 hours and may require repeat applications. The product does not kill bamboo root and all but turns the foliage brown.
