The Blue Demon E309L-16 X 332" X 14" X 5LB Plastic Stainless Steel Arc Welding Electrode is a welding rod that is highly praised by customers for its ability to weld different types of steels. Users have found it to be comparable in difficulty to laying 7018 rods and have used it effectively on various stainless steel materials. One customer remarked that they used the welding rod on a 1/8" stainless steel and found it worked best with around 50 amps on DCEP. They also suggested that for thinner materials, using DCEN may be more suitable. Another customer used the welding rod on an old Lincoln AC Buzz Box and found it to work excellently, stating that they were able to weld stainless steel easier than they had ever thought possible. While some users mentioned that the Blue Demon E309L-16 welding rod is not the easiest to run and may not be suitable for beginners, they still found it to perform well. It effectively attaches stainless steel to mild or other steels. In terms of the ordering process, customers found it to be easy and received their orders in a timely manner. One customer noted that while some of the flux chipped off during shipping, the welding rod still worked fine. Overall, this welding rod is praised for its ability to produce smooth welds on flat surfaces.
