The OPEK HVT-600 2-80m HF VHF OUTBACK HAM VERTICAL MULTI-BAND MOBILE ANTENNA is a well-manufactured vertical multi-band mobile antenna that has received mixed reviews from customers. Some customers have reported excellent performance with their antenna and have been able to work long distances on various bands, while others have been disappointed with its narrow bandwidth and inability to tune properly on certain bands. One customer reported that they had been unable to set the SWR on any band and had mounted the antenna on two different vehicles with no luck. Their antenna analyzer showed a SWR above 5 on any band, even as high as 12. Despite this negative experience, another customer reported that once they adjusted their antenna to the recommended length, it worked superbly and they were able to make good long-distance contacts on 80m. Overall, it seems that the OPEK HVT-600 is a decent option for a multi-band mobile antenna, but its narrow bandwidth may be a limiting factor for some users. Those who have had success with the antenna report good Construction and decent performance for the price.
