The Topping PRE90 Preamplifier has received mixed reviews from customers. One reviewer was impressed with the transparency it provides, giving a great value for the money. However, another reviewer found the sound decent but slightly bright, and had issues with the remote control which required a very good aim in order to work. A third reviewer found it to be the best sounding preamp they have ever owned, with amazing detail, separation, and soundstage. However, they found that the RCA output affected the sound quality and had to connect their sub through the power amp speaker outputs. Additionally, the remote control was weak but they were able to program their universal remote to work with it. The general Consensus seems to be that the Topping PRE90 Preamplifier offers great performance for the price, but the remote control could be improved.
