Answer: Because the food is dried, it lasts for months... so no problem once opened. -

Is this the multi-colored food or just the brown pellets? As my tortoise doesn't seem to like the plain single colored pellets.
Answer: Hi. Yes, the Komodo Fruit and Flower Food contains multi-colored pellets. -

How do you keep the food from mushing up into a paste as my tortoises don't like it?
Answer: Be careful how long you hydrate the food before giving it to your tortoise. Soaking for longer makes it mushier. My tortoises prefer some firmness to their pellets so I soak them in cold water for no longer than 20 minutes (never warm as it makes it like mush central), never had a problem with my tortoises not eating it then. -

Is the food good for a Horsefield Tortoise?
Answer: Definitely. It has only what would naturally be in a tortoise's diet. -

Answer: I use this as a daily feeding food alongside fresh fruit and veg. My tortoise loves it! -

Can I give this to a horsfield tortoise?
Answer: Yes, I feed this to my Horsfield tortoises when fresh weeds are not available. You need to soak the pellets in water just before feeding the torties. -

Can I feed this to my salcuta?
Answer: I would think so, yes. I have two leopard tortoises and they love it for a chance. I wouldn't feed it all the time though.
