The set includes both the lever handle and lower half grip, making it easy to open the entry door from either side. The handleset is suitable for doors between 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick and will fit bore holes from 2-1/8" to 5-1/2". However, it may not fit doors that are thicker than 1-3/4". The interior side of the handleset is not weather-resistant and therefore, is not recommended for installation on a gate or any door that is exposed to the elements. The Schlage handleset is not a multi-point lock handle set, and therefore, does not have a lock. However, it works perfectly with a separate deadbolt. If you want to use this handleset on your back door, you can purchase a matching back door deadbolt that is keyed the same. While it may be a bit pricey, it's an excellent option for those who want to maintain a uniform look throughout their home.
