Greenies Smart Essentials Adult Dry Dog Food, Chicken & Rice, 15 lb

**** The Smart Essentials Adult High Protein Dry Dog Food, specifically the Real Chicken & Rice Recipe, has garnered a diverse range of feedback from dog owners, highlighting both the positive aspects and some shortcomings of the product. A significant number of customers note that their dogs, even those that tend to be picky eaters, are delighted by the taste. Many reviewers experienced transformative results with their pets, especially those facing health challenges, such as chemotherapy. In these instances, this dog food rapidly became a favorite, indicating its palatability and quality. However, not all responses were favorable; one user reported that their dog refused to eat it, demonstrating that preferences can vary significantly among different pets. The inclusion of "natural flavors" appears to be a crucial aspect that many dogs are drawn to, with several owners appreciating the food's high protein and fat content, which aligns well with higher-end diets recommended by veterinarians. Another notable point of discussion is the formulation's avoidance of certain ingredients like legumes, which are increasingly scrutinized for their potential links to heart problems in dogs. This Conscious choice reassured many customers, as they prefer to avoid common allergens. Ultimately, Smart Essentials has resonated well with a segment of dog owners seeking quality food that is both nutritious and enjoyable for their pets. **
