It allows you to keep your device away from your work space or counters, and hides the messy wires behind it. The plastic material can be painted to fit any color preference, although sanding and proper preparation are required. It can be mounted either way and works with both rectangular and square plugs, but cannot be used horizontally due to the cord getting in the way of the AC adapter. The cord wraps around the inside of the mount, and the three-prong plug is pushed into the designated holder. It is easy to install even without instructions.
