**** The Digitus Multifunction USB Network Server DN-13020 has received a mixed reception from customers, primarily due to its performance and intended functionality. While some users appreciate its ability to act as a print server and connect USB devices over a network, the drawbacks seem to overshadow its benefits. Many customers reported significant challenges during the setup process, describing it as "a medium disaster" and time-Consuming. Once operational, users experienced frustratingly slow data transfer rates, with maximum speeds noted at around 5MB/s—substantially lower than expected for a network device capable of Fast Ethernet. This sluggish performance detracts from the potential this device has to serve as an effective file server or network-attached storage (NAS). Moreover, the device's compatibility issues were highlighted, particularly regarding its outdated software and limited support for current file systems. Users pointed out that access via mobile devices was nearly impossible due to the reliance on the deprecated SMBv1 protocol, which poses a security risk. The manual configuration requirement at every startup added to the frustration, leaving many users disillusioned with their purchase. On a more positive note, some customers found it useful for specific applications, such as connecting USB scanners, where it performed adequately. However, the overall sentiment leans towards advising Prospective buyers to explore more robust and modern alternatives, especially if they expect reliable performance or a versatile networking solution. **
