Does this have a reverse setting for sewing?
Answer: Yes it does have a reverse setting. Good all round machine, not complicated to use. -

Does this machine do any form of overlocking or neatening of seams?
Answer: No, it doesn't. Hope that helps. On YouTube Singer have done a video tutorial of this machine and all its functions. -

Use for making quilts?
Answer: Not sure, haven't tried that, but I can't think why not. -

Does this have a foot pedal with variable speed?
Answer: Yes, it does. If you press lightly on it, it goes slow; and if you press down on the pedal, it will go faster. but remember, this is a beginner machine, not a heavy-duty one. So even the fast speed is slow comparing to a fast heavy-duty sewing machine. -

Is it suitable for use without transformer in Europe? (In 230v, 50v area)

Answer: Not sure of actual weight, but is easy to pick up and place on a table. Good machine and all-rounder for sewing. -

Answer: Yes. You can sew anything. Excellent machine and easy to use. -

First time I use this machine and it stains the white fabric! You can see a gray line under the sewed fabric.
Answer: I had no such problem with mine. I suggest testing it on scrap fabric and making sure that the needle and bobbin etc are clean with no dust. If it continues to stain the fabric contact the manufacturer. -

Does it have different sewing speeds?
Answer: Don't know about different speeds but it has different length stitches and types of stitch. -
